Astronomy is the science that deals with the study of heavenly bodies. This is one of the oldest study of science that began in early times. Chaldeans and Babylonians were keen observers and made calendars from their observation. The people who study these heavenly bodies are known as astronomers. They use telescope to observe astronomical bodies and on the basis of their observation they determine the nature of the Universe through the principal of mathematics and physics.




Galileo  Galilei

Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) built his own telescope to observe the night sky. He was the first person to observe the surface of the Moon, Jupiter and its Moons and rings of Saturn.
