NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is an American space agency, which was established on July 29, 1958. All the space missions are planned and controlled by the NASA’s control centre at London B Johnson centre in Texas, USA.

       

Space Station

Space station is a craft, which remains permanently in the orbit round the earth. It is home as well a work place for astronomers where they carry out their research work. The space stations are very large and are thus transported separately and assembled in the space. The Russian space station ‘Mir’ was the first to be built in this way. The international space station will be launched in 2010 which will be spacious enough to have living quarters and science  laborat0ries for around seven astronauts.
