Space technology
Rockets are powerful engines which lift objects like space probers,
satellites and astronomers into the space. The rocket’s fuel uses
an oxidizer, which contains oxygen. At the time of lift off the fuel and
oxidizer are mixed and burnt. The fuel produces hot gases in the motor nuzzles
at the bottom of the rocket. This enables it to take off into the space with
full force. Rockets are the only vehicles which travel at a speed of 11 km per
second in order to escape the earth’s gravity.
